Gboyega Odubanjo is a British-Nigerian poet born and raised in East London. In 2018 he completed an MA in Creative Writing (Poetry) at the University of East Anglia. His debut pamphlet, While I Yet Live, was published by Bad Betty Press in 2019.
Gboyega is a Barbican Young Poet and Roundhouse Poetry Collective alumni, and a Roundhouse Resident Artist. In 2019, he was awarded second place in the Roundhouse Poetry Slam. He is also a member of (In)Space, and his poetry has appeared or is forthcoming in a number of online and literary journals, including Ambit, Brittle Paper, The Interpreter’s House, and Wildness.
