Paul Point
An irrepressible writer and performer born in ‘Poets Corner’, Croydon. Director of CPC, who has produced events for Tate Modern, Field Day, Lambeth Council and Althorp Literary Festival. “A bonfire of words” – Mark Grist.
Egemen
Egemen is an actor, co-founder and Head of Banter at The Chocolate Poetry Club. Born in Turkey, raised in South London. He is regularly mistaken for Kit Harington and Daniel Radcliffe. He doesn’t do autographs.
Gboyega Odubanjo
A British-Nigerian poet born and raised in East London. He is a member of the Barbican Young Poets and the Roundhouse Poetry Collective. His debut pamphlet, While I Yet Live, was published by Bad Betty Press in 2019.
Steve Tasane
A multi-slam winner and children’s novelist. His award winning book, Child I (Faber & Faber) is published in Germany, France, Turkey. He’s appeared at Edinburgh Book Festival, 100 Club, Hay Festival, South Bank Centre. His poetry is ferocious, funky and fun!
Miss Yankey
A British-Ghanaian Spoken Word artist; Founder of Poetry Prescribed; Member of FLO Poets; International Slam Champion; Co-host at CPC; Open Mic Host at Mind Over Matter; and milli-tasking mother of twins.
Shaun Rivers
Shaun is a British/Mauritian performance poet, actor and visual artist born in Stockport, based in London. He is co-host at CPC, his debut poetry collection, Twisted and Chewed, was published in 2018 and is now currently producing a series of poetry films.
Y.A.
Yasmin Ali (Y.A) is a South London based international spoken word artist, playwright and entrepreneur. Her writing has found audiences in Whitehall and Parliament Square; she is founder of the Young Wordsmith Project; in 2019 her work featured in the FLOvortex UK Top 40 Spoken Word Chart.
Damian Wiecek
Damian is a Journalism and Social Communication graduate from The University of Silesia. Born in Poland, now based in London. He is a skilled photography enthusiast now turning his attention to the world of Social Media Marketing.
